Therapeutic Exercise

Therapeutic Exercise is the systematic performance of carefully planned physical activities to help patients remediate or prevent impairments of body functions and structures. It may include aerobic exercise, agility training, breathing techniques, muscle lengthening, body mechanics training, coordination exercises, neuromotor development activities training, neuromuscular re-education, range of motion exercises, stretching, relaxation strengthening power or endurance exercises.

Physical therapists conduct a thorough evaluation to diagnose and develop a plan of therapy and choose appropriate exercises that will fulfill the goals of the plan of care.  As the plan progresses they monitor and adjust the exercises as needed to obtain maximum wellness.
