Leslie Williams, PT, DPT
Leslie received her Physical Therapy degree with honors from the University of Delaware in 1989; in 2010 she completed her doctorate degree from Shenandoah University. Before starting her own practice, Leslie worked at Loudoun Hospital for 20 years in outpatient post-acute rehab and inpatient acute care. She is a well rounded orthopedic generalist, highly focused in assisting patients in recovering from illness, injury, or functional limitations by treating them with respect, compassion, and the highest level of evidence based clinical skills. Her approach to patient care starts with completing a thorough evaluation, and then partnering with her patients to set achievable goals and develop a treatment plan that comprehensively addresses the identified problems. Leslie’s vision is to build a business that enriches people’s lives by helping them achieve their functional goals, and enhances the community by encouraging healthy living. Leslie lives in Berryville with her husband and four boys. She enjoys spending time with family, leading youth group, sports, gardening and reading.
Sara Davis MPH, PTA, CSCS
Sara entered the health and fitness industry in 1993 as an avenue to working with the geriatric population with whom she has always had a great affinity. After completing a dual degree in Biology and Psychology from George Mason University she obtained her Physical Therapist Assistant degree and then her Masters in Public Heath from Liberty University. Sara is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Her interests span from working with youth in the prevention of sport injuries to helping seniors overcome physical limitations and remain active. Her vision is to build a business that provides compassionate and personalized care, encouraging and educating people of all ages into healthy lifestyles through increased physical fitness. Sara lives in Berryville with her husband and five children. She enjoys volunteering at church, exercising, sports, yard work, spending time with family and homeschooling.
Amy Sowers, PT
A true Clarke County native, Amy graduated from Clarke County High School in 1985 and received her degree in Physical Therapy in 1989 from Medical College of Virginia. During her career, she has worked with numerous populations in a variety of settings including: nine years in acute care and outpatient ortho/neuro with Winchester Medical Center, four years of home health care, and over 16 years of outpatient orthopedics. Amy brings a vast knowledge of advanced manual therapy skills to Berryville PT, having completed all of Richard Jackson’s nationally recognized courses. In addition to manual therapy and treating sacroiliac joint dysfunction (including pregnancy induced), Amy’s areas of interest include optimizing mobility and minimizing pain through the resolution of biomechanical dysfunction. Amy lives in Frederick County with her husband and the youngest of her 4 children. She enjoys reading, being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and homeschooling.
Vicki Mainello, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Vicki received her Physical Therapist Assistant degree with honors from Northern Virginia Community College in 1996 and was awarded “Most Studious” by her class mates. Vicki spent 10 years with Loudoun Inova gaining experience in acute, outpatient, rehabilitation, and continued experience in nursing home and home health physical therapy. In 1997, Vicki was promoted to Team Leader of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services at Loudoun Inova. In 2004, Vicki earned her Wound Care Certification through the National Alliance of Wound Care and in 2005 her Advanced Wound Debridement Certificate. In 2014, Vicki was certified in Kinesio taping and in 2016 became a certified personal trainer. Vicki’s clinical education includes sports medicine, neuromuscular therapy, orthopedics, sacroiliac joint dysfunction with mobilizations, cervical and thoracic mobilization, lumbar mobilization, myofascial release, and soft tissue mobilization. Vicki lives in Berryville with her husband and a daughter and son. She enjoys cooking, refurbishing furniture, gardening and reading.
Christina Rose, MPT
Growing up in New Jersey, Christina graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2001 with a master’s degree in Physical Therapy. She has worked as a PT in Northern Virginia and Maryland for the last for 17 years. Christina started her career in a skilled nursing facility later moving into acute care and hospital outpatient setting allowing her to experience the full continuum of Physical Therapy care. She has spent the majority of her career working in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Christina specializes in back and neck pain, sport injuries, Kinesiotaping, manual techniques including muscle energy techniques to correct sacroiliac joint, spinal and rib dysfunction. She has training in analyzing clients running mechanics. She enjoys working with all clients from youth sport injuries, chronic pain to fall risk reduction in the geriatric population. Her treatment approach is to look at the whole picture starting at evaluation and providing in a full comprehensive treatment approach including manual techniques, exercise and education to achieve the client’s goals. Christina lives in Bluemont with her husband and two sons. She enjoys being creative, cooking and watching her boys play ice hockey.
Kristine MacDonnell, MPT, CLT
Kristine, a Minnesota native, received her Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Psychology from the University of Minnesota in 1992. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from The College of St Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota in 1996. Kristine earned her Certified Lymphedema Therapist designation in 2000 and used that knowledge and growing experience to establish a comprehensive Lymphedema Program while working at an outpatient clinic in New Hampshire. She is a member of the National Lymphedema Network and the Lymphology Association of Australia. In 2004 Kristine moved to Northern Virginia to be closer to her family and has been able to continue her professional growth in variety clinical settings before joining Berryville Physical Therapy. Kristine’s clinical skills are diversified, and she offers extensive experience with orthopedic and sports therapy, balance rehabilitation, CranioSacral therapy, Myofascial Release, and pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation. She has taken several continuing education courses in manual therapy including Maitland, Kaltenborn-Evjenth, John Barnes and The Upledger Institute. Her philosophy of care emphasizes patient education, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise with the ultimate goals of functional improvement and patient satisfaction across the life span. When not seeing patients, Kris enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering at school, reading, and scrapbooking.
Leslie, Kerr, PT, DPT
Leslie is a Berryville native who graduated from Clarke County High School in 2007. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech in 2011 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2014. Leslie worked several years in a hospital based outpatient setting with some inpatient experience prior to joining the BPTW team. She practices as an orthopedic generalist, seeing a variety of diagnoses and a wide range of patient populations from teens to geriatrics. Her interests span from sports injury and post-operative care to balance and falls prevention. She joints BPTW with an eagerness to explore new specialties within the field of physical therapy. Leslie’s approach to patient care begins with a thorough evaluation used to build a patient specific treatment plan. Daniel Erisman, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Daniel was born in northern Virginia and moved to Berryville in 1997 to begin first grade at Berryville Primary school. He completed all 12 years of his public school education in Clarke County. After graduating from high school in 2009, Daniel attended Lord Fairfax Community College and earned his Associate in Arts degree in 2011. For the next three years, Daniel was employed at Martins Food Market working his way up to organic’s manager while pursuing his interest in physical therapy. He began working as an aide at Berryville Physical Therapy and Wellness in the summer of 2016 to gain more exposure and apply material he was learning in class to active patient cases. In spring of 2017, he achieved his Associates in Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant and began working as a PTA after receiving his license in summer 2017. Since then, Daniel has worked alongside Leslie Williams in developing a treatment program for individuals with temporomandibular joint dysfunction. Other treatment interests include plantar fasciitis, vestibular rehab, and fall risk reduction. In his free time, Daniel enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing board games, going on outdoor adventures, creating artwork, cooking, reading, and exercise.
Adrienne Gallatin, LMT
Adrienne is a graduate of Shenandoah Valley School of Therapeutic Massage in Edinburg, Virginia, where she studied anatomy, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and myofascial release. She works at Berryville Physical Therapy and Wellness with an eagerness to learn the many specialties the field of massage has to offer. She is particularly interested in medical massage. Prior to massage school, Adrienne graduated from Joe Blasco’s Makeup Artistry School in Orlando, Florida, and is a make-up artist for Fox Sports on the NASCAR circuit. Adrienne grew up in Harrisonburg, Virginia, with both her parents and a younger brother. She lives in the town of Berryville with her husband and son. Adrienne loves boating, being on the water, and spending time with family and friends.
Dovanna Zehr Rosenberger, LMT,
Massage Therapist, Certified Pregnancy Massage Therapist
Dovanna grew up in a small town in Northern New York. She graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, VA, with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and minors in Psychology and Youth Ministry. After graduation, she moved to Santa Cruz, Bolivia where she volunteered at an orphanage for two years. Her experiences in Bolivia reinforced for her how important healing touch is to both children and adults and reawakened her interest in therapeutic massage. Upon her return to the United States, she attended Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Syracuse, NY and graduated from their intensive, Full-Time Program (1000-hours) in June of 2010. Dovanna has been trained in various modalities including: Pregnancy Massage, Shiatsu, Sports Massage, Swedish Massage and Therapeutic Massage. Each session is customized and based on her client’s unique needs.
Clinical Aide, Patient Services
Ann was born in Germany, then moved around while growing up as the daughter of an Army officer. In 1985 she settled into Clarke county to stay with her husband. They raised their two sons here and were involved with church activities, sports and other community events over the years. Ann has worked in a variety of administrative jobs over the years, was a substitute teacher for 14 years, and did furniture restoration. She joined Berryville Physical Therapy and Wellness in 2010 as part of our front desk team. Ann is the primary scheduler and is the first smiling face most patients see when they come to the clinic as she fills her role in Patient Services. She keeps busy outside the clinic with her church, family and friends and enjoys reading, cooking and taking walks.
Patient Account Manager
Heather spent her early years in Cheyenne, Wyoming, then after a short time in Florida, moved with her family to North Pole, Alaska. She attended University of Alaska Fairbanks and was active at her church where she met and married her husband. Their two children were born in Alaska before the family moved to Virginia in 2000. Heather has been with Berryville Physical Therapy and Wellness since the beginning in 2008, filling a variety of roles on the front desk team before she ended up in her current role as Patient Account Manager. She keeps busy processing insurance claims and sorting out the information in her attempt to make paying your bills here as painless as possible! Although years of homeschooling are done since the children are grown and out of the house, she and her husband keep busy seeing family and friends and are involved with their church and community. She loves to read an enjoyable book when she can find time and cooking gluten free goodies.
